Stromkern are an industrial act with a strong hip-hop influence. They are based out of Madison,WI. The band was founded by James "Ned" Kirby and now includes members Kelly Shaffer, Matt Berger and Rob Wentz.

The band has performed at Convergence XII in New Orleans,LA in 2006. They have also played at Saturnalia, the Blacksun Festival and at Wave-Gotik-Treffen.
